RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
Why is that the best solution? How is it easier than say, increasing the speed?

RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
What will increasing the speed do at all to make the card better balanced? It's already pretty fast.

RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
It could beat out and spells and abilities which is always useful on a boost spell. I don't necessarily disagree with a cost decrease, but I don't see any reasoning in those posts that I couldn't apply to pretty much any change is more what I was getting at. And I'm not fully convinced a cost decrease would be better than a speed increase anyways.

RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
You're sort of right. This is one of those instances where the card's underpowered but without any real problem, so any and all changes are equally valid. That being said, there are only 3 things we can do. Cost drop, stat boost, and speed boost. Serith is right about the speed boost doing far too little to make the card balanced, as it already outspeeds almost every sniping ability in the game, enough that you can put it in your deck counting on it to do so. The equation's sort of complicated, and it would be very easy to make too large of a change to it, so that leaves a cost decrease.

RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
He's not right at all; we listed several problems with the card, namely a comparison to Sudden Growth. Yes, a speed boost is a boost, and yes, it would make the card better than it currently is, but it wouldn't solve any of the card's problems.

RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
No, he's totally wrong about that, but you're not going to see any real reasoning here other than "I like this boost".

RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
It's already faster than Sudden Growth and yet generally sucks compared to it. That's reason enough to me.

RE: [Boost] Down To The Wire
That's a really bad argument... It being faster than Sudden Growth is honestly meaningless in and of itself.

No, but the fact that speed already outraces just about everything isn't. It's fast enough, that's not the problem.

Vote: Lower cost to 4
Futzing with the equation won't make it better in non-Chimera decks, and raising the speed won't make it better in any deck. Lower cost is the way to go.
